Everything announced at Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live

One of the biggest gaming events of the year Gamescom is back upon us. The next four days will have gaming studios and hardware makers make big announcements, world premieres and updates on their projects.

The opening night started at 4am AEST this morning, bringing with it a ton of new games and updates on existing projects. You can check out each big announcement below.

Sekiro: No Defeat

Crunchyroll revealed the very first look at their Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice anime. This show is set to expand on the events of the game

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

A brand new trailer for the upcoming action RPG was showcased. This beautiful game has you battling monsters in the underworld. The game will launch in 2026.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

After years of promises, we finally have a release date for the highly anticipated title. The game will release on October 21, 2025.

 

Cult of the Lamb Woolhaven DLC

Massive Monster have released a brand new trailer for upcoming DLC Woolhaven coming to the game in early 2026.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4

Fans of the series will be excited for the next chapter in the Warhammer series. This cinematic trailer showed off Blood Marines on the journey to restore peace to the galaxy. The game will release on PC in 2026.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Releasing on November 14, we got a closer look at the campaign and confirmation that the game is releasing on November 14 this year.

Lords of The Fallen 2

Developer CI Games game the world our first look with an announcement trailer into the magical world filled with monsters. The game will release on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2026.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Warner Bros. Games confirmed their next Lego game Legacy of the Dark Knight. An open world game set in Gotham that takes in storylines from the films, comics, TV shows and animated films. With Matt Berry voicing Bane, the anticipation for this game is very high.

 

Monster Hunter Wilds & Final Fantasy 14 Crossover

Capcom confirmed that a Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy 14 with Chocobos coming as rideable companions in Wilds, and Final Fantasy 14 getting Sekiret mounts. While no footage was shown, the content will release in September 2025.

Fallout Season 2 Teaser Trailer

The cast of Fallout came on stage to present our first teaser trailer look at season 2 of Fallout. Heading to New Vegas, the next season will introduce Justin Theroux as Mr. House.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is coming to Switch 2

In news no-one saw coming, Bethesda will release their critically acclaimed game Indiana Jones and The Great Circle on the Switch 2 in 2026. It’s very exciting to see top tier games like this be ported over to the new console.

Ron Gilbert’s Death by Scrolling announced

Ron Gilbert, who bought us games like Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion and Thimbleweed Park has been hard at work on his next title. Death By Scrolling is a rogue like RPG has no release date, but this announcement footage showed us a closer look at this new genre from the gaming giant.

Silent Hill F

The upcoming trailer for this title was truly as terrifying as expected. This game releases on 25 September 2025.

Resident Evil Requiem

The trailer showcased the main character Grace Ashcroft. While not too much was shown off, we did see a young Grace and her mother escaping from monsters.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui announced

The big finish was the announcement of a sequel to Black Myth Wukong. There is no release date as of yet, but the footage shows the team have been hard at work on the next instalment.
