E3 2019: Fallout 76 returns with a huge slate of upcoming content

It’s no secret that Fallout 76 launched to multiple forms of overwhelming criticism. But Bethesda Studios have persevered and returned to this year’s E3 conference with an abundance of content leading into the game’s second year.

The first update, aptly named Wastelanders, brings the NPC (Non-player-controlled) characters back to the wasteland, as players partake in a story set after the wasteland has indeed been settled; and now must be defended. Branching dialogue options are also a nice added touch, and creator tools seem to have been revamped to suit large scale projects out in the wild. Check it out for yourself in the trailer below:

If Battle Royale modes are your thing, you’re going to love this. Fallout 76 brings players the new mode Nuclear Winter, a 52-player fight to the death in a bid to appoint a new overseer for Vault 52. What this role means in terms of gameplay is still unclear, but looks like it may involve some Fallout Shelter inspired creativity and maintenance. One can only hope. you can check it out for yourself in the trailer below:

And the best thing about all these updates? They’re free for owners fo Fallout 76. With both updates pinned for Fall of 2019, the Nuclear Winter Mode will be accessible for a short trial period starting from 10 June.
