E3 2018: Silence-based brawler The Quiet Man announced

Square Enix had a lot to talk about during their E3 2018 press briefing that we’d heard about already. One the games we hadn’t heard about before was The Quiet Man, which debuted a short trailer blending live action footage and in-game brawling tied to the absence of sound.

Based on the trailer it seems that our protagonist, the titular Quiet Man, has the ability to either deafen his foes or create some kind of sound-free zone around himself. Once in place, he can do all sorts of noisy things — like beat up a bunch of thugs in an New York alleyway for instance — without ever being detected.

The trailer ends with a promise of more to come in August. It’s certainly an interesting pitch and we’re excited to hear more about it.
