E3 2016: Halo Wars 2 coming to Xbox One, PC in February

Halo Wars 2 is set to launch on February 21, 2017 on both Xbox One and Windows 10. The game was announced during Microsoft’s E3 media event this morning, and was accompanied by a cinematic trailer.

Halo Wars 2¬†introduces a new faction named The Banished, headed by Atriox, a Covenant Brute. The game is also part of Microsoft’s new Xbox Play Anywhere program which means your progress and chievos are transferable between console and PC versions of the game.

The game will be in open beta on the Xbox and Windows Stores starting today. The beta will run all week until June 20. Up to six players can jump into the multiplayer test matches.
