The Australian Speedrun Marathon 2026 will return to Adelaide

The event will aim to raise funds for Game OnCancer, a Cure Cancer initiative, and will take place at the Adelaide Rockford Hotel, from Tuesday 14 July to Sunday 19 July.

The event will look to build on the success of ASM2025, which raised over $50,000 for Game On Cancer.

ASM2026 will also bring together some of Australia’s most passionate speedrunners for six days of live runs, community moments and donation incentives. if fans are unable to attend in person, they can even tune in live via the AusSpeedruns Twitch channel.

This year’s ASM2026 line-up will include a bunch of games from various categories, including Donkey Kong Bananza, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Pokémon Platinum, F-Zero GX, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Halo 5: Guardians, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Stephen Philp from AusSpeedruns commented on the news, stating: “AusSpeedruns is proud to bring the Australian Speedrun Marathon back to Adelaide for another year of speedrunning, community and charity. ASM has always been about more than playing games quickly. It is about bringing people together, celebrating the skill and dedication of our runners, and using that energy to make a real difference. We’re thrilled to once again support Game On Cancer and help fund bold new ideas in cancer research.”

Tickets are A$40 and are now available through the AusSpeedruns website, with donations to the fundraiser able to be made online throughout the event.
