Alienware announced today its latest range of QD-OLED monitors, including the new Alienware 27 4K QD-OLED Monitor, which won the Innovation Award at CES earlier this year.
The three new models will all include Dell’s QD-OLED, extending their range to five, bringing HD and a better quality of picture for gamers everywhere. Concerns about burn-in on OLED screens have been addressed with Dell offering a three-year limited OLED hardware warranty on all of the QD-OLED monitors, so it’s well worth the investment.
Starting with the most affordable option, the AW2725D is a 27-inch gaming monitor that packs a 2560×1440 resolution with a 280 Hz refresh rate that will come to market later this year. It balances out vivid visuals and ultra-smooth performance to be accessible to newcomers and veteran gamers alike.
Next up is the 34 Ultra-Wide QD-OLED Monitor (AW3425DW), which offers a faster 240Hz refresh rate (up from 175Hz), improved connectivity with HDMI 2.1 FRL, and adds G-SYNC Compatible certification alongside AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA AdaptiveSync. With a WQHD (3440×1440) resolution and 1800R curve, this ultra-wide screen is perfect for gaming and watching cinematic movies.
The third is the Alienware 27 4K QD-OLED Monitor (AW2725Q), which launched at CES earlier this year and features an impressive pixel density of 166 PPI (pixels per inch). This does set a record for the highest PPI in any OLED or QD-OLED monitor. It sets itself apart as one of the best monitors on the market and will be released on March 11th in Australia.
The popular 30-inch AW30 gets a refresh as well with the new tech from Dell, and a design refresh with a 360-degree ventilation system, a square base and cable management. Under the hood, it gets an upgraded 240 Hz refresh rate, an HDMI 2.1 port and certification for AMD Free-Sync and G-Sync. If you are looking for a decent upgrade that won’t set you back too much, this could be the best option.
