Activision is charging $70 AUD for the standalone Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remaster

The remastered edition of Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will hit store shelves as a standalone release tomorrow. Despite being a ten year old game and functionally unchanged beyond the fresh coat of paint, Activision has given it an RRP of $70 AUD.

While the remaster does include the entire campaign and some 16 multiplayer maps , it does not include the Modern Warfare Remastered Variety Map Pack. Once again, Activision would like you to pay seventy dollars for this.

The standalone version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will release in brick-and-mortar retail outlets and on PSN tomorrow with further platforms to follow at a later date. It is a timed PS4 exclusive. It was originally released as a pre-order bonus for last year’s flatly received Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It is also seventy goddamned dollars.
