2016 Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Circuit pre-season to kick off here in Oz

Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Circuit is set to kick off here in Australia beginning with a pair of online open qualifiers  in late January and early February.

The circuit will see “the best teams from Australia/New Zealand, China, Europe, Korea, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia and Taiwan … competing in a quarterly, seasonal format, culminating in a Global Championship event,” reads Blizzard’s press release.

Better yet, there’s over US$4 million in prize money up for grabs for any team that can go all the way.

The online, open qualifying rounds will start in Australia on January 30 and will occur again on February 7. Regular season matches will begin February 28 with US$20,000 on the line for the ANZ victors. The regional finals will be streamed online live from Sydney.
