10 Things You Need To Check Out At EB Expo This Weekend

The EB Expo kicks off tomorrow and if you’re still wondering what you’re going to do with yourself at such a huge show, relax, we’ve got you covered. Here’s our top 10 things to see at the convention!

It’s only three weeks away, but not everyone is going to be able to get their hands on PSVR when it launches. Sony’s booth with have the hardware on hand for punters to try out with a number of games from the launch slate available. The line will be long for this one so make sure you turn up early.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildzeldaheader2
Speaking of long lines, Nintendo is bringing the latest game in the Zelda franchise to the show. If you want to get a chance to see it in action for yourself, make sure you head over and check it out. We are beside ourselves. Can’t wait.

Horizon: Zero Dawn
One of the most interesting titles in Sony’s 2017 slate, Horizon will be at Sony’s booth this year, giving fans a chance to get a little more familiar with its blend of sci-fi and rustic fantasy. Another title we’re truly excited for.

Dead Rising 4
Arriving just before Christmas, Dead Rising 4 promises exactly what the fans have been clamouring for — the removal of the time limit. We can’t promise you won’t have an IRL time limit if you get to play it on the show floor but its removal is certainly good news for inventive zombie eradication enthusiasts.

For Honor
Who doesn’t want to his their friends with a broadsword? For Honor is Ubisoft’s new first-person medieval battle title and one we’ve been keeping an eye on since its appearance at E3 last year. We’re definitely keen to spend a little time with it!

Tekken 7
A no brainer for fighting game enthusiasts. Tekken 7 promises more of what the fans have been clamouring for. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Tekken series in play, and we’re excited to see what this new installment has in store. This one’s gonna go over huge in eSports.

What would a convention be without a cosplay showcase? The big guns of cosplay are on their way to EB Expo again this year and you’ll be able to catch all the action on the floor and at the cosplay stage.

eSports has a huge presence at the show this year with eSports Alley and eSports Arena both in play. These will be the places to head if you’re keen for no-holds-barred, high-level competitive play.

Good Game Unplugged
The patron saints of the Australian games scene will be on hand for a celebratory 10th anniversary live show at EB Expo. Bajo, Hex and the entire Good Game crew will be on hand to answer questions, chat about games and the show.

Phil Spencer
The head of Xbox himself is in town to give the keynote address at this year’s show and it will be one you wont want to miss. Smart, funny and always engaging, Spencer is one of the biggest names in games today. Attend, and absorb his wisdom. And maybe he’ll talk about Scorpio! (Probably not, but we can dream.)
