In August Sydneysiders will be treated to a very special production of My Fair Lady at the iconic, Sydney Opera House. But if audiences want to see two fair ladies then they have one very special opportunity; that is, to see Dame Julie Andrews and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton live and in conversation. The pair will share personal insights and stories from their marvellous careers and collaborations.

This special event is a wonderful opportunity for audiences to ask questions from Andrews and Walton Hamilton in an informal live setting. This event coincides with Dame Julie Andrews directing Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady at the Opera House. The event with the famous mother and daughter will take place on the re-created stage set, which will be used for the show’s run in August and September.

The night should be one supercalifragilisticexpialidocious look at Andrew’s iconic works. The pair will also discuss their creations together, in what has culminated in their being known as best-selling authors, television creators and producers. These two artists have published 30 books and created several television series where they have promoted a sense of wonder and learning in children.

Dame Julie Andrews said, “It is a thrill for me to be in Australia and have the opportunity to direct the very musical that significantly launched my career. I hope our production brings great joy to our audiences and stimulates a whole new generation of musical theatre lovers. This unique opportunity of having my lovely Emma join me on stage for an open conversation with an audience prior to our opening warms my heart.”
