The Walsh Bay Arts Table Dinner returns for seventh year

The Walsh Bay Arts Table Dinner is one of Sydney’s premier fundraising events, inviting guests to participate in a unique alfresco dining experience, held in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This year’s theme is If Music Be The Food of Love.

Hosted this year by acapella ensemble The Song Company, five stand-out chefs from Walsh Bay venues including Pier One Sydney Harbour, View by Sydney, Simmer on the Bay, Sydney Dance Lounge and Walsh Bay Kitchen will create a degustation dinner, matched with wines from the NSW Southern Highlands.

“To experience the signature style of so many stellar chefs in the company of the growers and artists showcased and at a money-can’t-buy location, is all part of the magic unique to The Arts Table Dinner at Walsh Bay,” said Brigid Kennedy, from event organisers Walsh Bay Arts & Commerce.

Dedicated to supporting Australian arts companies, the proceeds from the 2016 dinner will go to The Song Company. The group are one of Australia’s premier acapella ensembles, with a repertoire covering vocal music from the 10th century right up to contemporary artists. During the event, The Song Company will present roaming performances, directed by award-winning composer and conductor Antony Pitts.

Guests will have the opportunity to take home original artworks, premium wine selections, and other prizes from the evening’s raffle, supported by independent Sydney galleries, artists and prestige travel specialists.

The seventh Walsh Bay Arts Table Dinner will take place on Tuesday 8th November.
With a proposed redevelopment of Pier 2/3 in the works, this may mark the last year the dinner can take place in its current format.
If you don’t want to miss out on this unique dining experience, you can find more information, including ticket sales, on the Walsh Bay website.
