The Play That Goes Wrong announces Australian cast

Following the announcement that West End smash The Play That Goes Wrong will be touring Australia next year, Mischief Theatre has revealed the cast that will bring the comedy caper to Australian audiences.

With director Mark Bell overseeing the casting process, nine Australian actors will join original cast member James Marlowe in bringing the members of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society to life.

The cast is made up of Matilda and Helpmann award nominees, alumni from several big name musicals, and rising stars. The full roster includes Brooke Satchwell, Darcy Brown, Francine Cain, Adam Dunn, Luke Joslin, George Kemp, Nick Simpson-Deeks, Tammy Weller, and Jordan Prosser.

Described as Fawlty Towers meets Noises Off, The Play That Goes Wrong won the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy in 2015.

The Australian tour will open in Melbourne on February 22nd, with further dates scheduled for Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, and Perth.
