Melbourne Fringe Festival

13-30th September / Melbourne, VIC

Bold, vibrant and bubbling with life, Melbourne Fringe Festival is back with over 440 events, 3,358 artists and 150 venues in an outstanding celebration of independent arts. From the 13-30 September, the city will become a creative playground filled with a diverse program of events that capture every artform imaginable. From the fantastical Sammy J – The 50 Year Show, a time-travelling, death defying theatrical experiment; to Queen of the Night, a glorious celebration of all things Whitney Houston by Little Ones Theatre, the world of art lay at your feet this spring. Sydney Fringe Festival

1 – 30th September / Sydney, NSW

Unveiling it’s most ambitious program yet, the Sydney Fringe Festival is prepared to leap through the suburbs of Sydney. Presenting creative phenomenons rearing from the local streets onto the global stage, the festival is bursting with over 120 World premieres, 142 Australian premieres and 172 Sydney premieres across the 1st to the 30th of September. It all thrillingly launches with FRIGHT IGNITE, curated by the astounding award-winning musician Thelma Plum, the event will be taking over the Oxford Street Precinct. Prepared to fuel Sydney’s creative buzz, events will range from pop-up cabaret, curated theatre and musical performances. Brisbane Festival

8 – 29th September / Brisbane, QLD

Brimming with big-name acts, world premieres and a spectacular new light and sound show on the river, Brisbane is prepared to explode with artistic flare this September. With over 600 performances, 17 venues and more than 1,000 artists, the festival which runs from the 8-29th of September will ignite the city in a visual feast of luminescence and life. Matching up homegrown talent Ball Park Music and Violet Soho, concerts of Benjamin Britten‘s masterpiece Peter Grimes starring Stuart Skelton, and with Eskimo Joe teaming up with Brisbane Chamber Camerata, this festival is action packed and alive with artistic flame. Red Earth Arts Festival

31 Aug – 9th September / Karratha, WA

Taking advantage of their brand new Red Earth Arts Precinct as a prime venue, this creative and innovative festival in the city of Karratha, Western Australia will be kicking off on the 31st of August and running till the 9th of September. And let us tell you, this artistic and cultural exploration is thoroughly worth experiencing! Swell Sculpture Festival

14 – 23rd September / Currumbin, QLD

Connecting people, art and place the Swell Sculpture Festival erupts on the Gold Coast, and is an established cultural and artistically spirited event that delights hundred of thousands of visitors every year. Running from the 14th to the 23rd of September, this whimsical event brings sculptors, visual artists, musicians and creatives from all across the globe to enjoy events such as sculpting masterclasses with Phillip Piperides, free guided twilight walks, life drawing sessions and so many other incredible artistic experiences.
