The Next Step: Legacy World Tour announces extra shows in select cities

Since its beginning in 2013, Canadian teen dance drama The Next Step has become an iconic piece of pop culture history for the younger generation. The overly-soapy drama, cliché plot points and dance numbers are the perfect ingredients for an addictive, entertaining watch that is suitable for kids. For Australians, it came as the hype for Dance Academy was at a peak, a pre-teen’s dream.

To celebrate over ten years and ten seasons of the dance drama, The Next Step is bringing their Legacy Tour to Australia as part of a massive 22-city worldwide run.

Cast fan-favourites, such as Victoria Baldesarra, Alexandra Chaves, Trevor Tordjman among others, will take to the stage to perform iconic dance numbers, share stories and revisit moments that made the show become the cultural moment it is today.

For Tordjman, the Australian leg of the tour comes just after he has been announced as rejoining the Zombies cast for the upcoming Zombies 5 film, set to be released next year.

The Next Step Legacy Tour features ten Australian cities, both regional and metro, with matinee sessions being added in Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane, Sutherland and Sydney due to popular demand. There will also be a Meet and Greet opportunity for VIP ticket holders.

Maybe you yourself grew up watching The Next Step, or maybe, like me, you’re deep into the phase of parenting where you find yourself watching your kids’ favourite shows when they’re not even in the room anymore- either way, the Next Step Legacy World Tour will be the perfect blend of kid-friendly family entertainment and an opportunity to see some massive stars on smaller stages.
