Most young concert-goers don’t know the heady days of lining up and camping out overnight outside the ticket office to get a good spot to see to favourite band. Nowadays, everything is so much more efficient and logging onto the ticket website, you are met with helpful clues, such as “184 people in a queue ahead of you” and “sorry, ticket no longer exists” which go some small way to recreate that high. Fortunately for an Opera House full of TISM fans, their ticket purchase was relatively straight-forward. By the magic of modern technology, the entire allocation was snapped up in just two hours by fans in an exclusive early-bird sale. That’s modern efficiency for ya.
TISM are not known to disappoint their loyal fans (too often). Just when hopeful fans realised that they might miss a chance to hear the ARIA Award-Winning Album Machiavelli and the Four Seasons in full, the band suddenly announced a second show.
Recent outings from the band include a 2024 series of dates promoting their Death to Art album, which has now become their highest charting album since the release of Machiavelli and the Four Seasons. We caught them last year in Sydney and at a secret gig in Adelaide, and the shows were eveything you’d expect and more. The supports included Machine Gun Fellatio, Eskimo Joe and The Mavis’s, so who knows who will be supporting them on the hallowed Sydney Opera House stage.
