I’ll be honest: cleaning the floors is a chore I put off for as long as humanly possible. It’s repetitive, time-consuming, and somehow never-ending. So, when a cleaning gadget promises to make that process easier, I’m all ears. The Roborock F25 RT is one of those appliances. It sells itself as a straightforward, affordable wet-dry vacuum that tackles everyday spills and dirt without the unnecessary frills. You had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.
At roughly $599 AUD (and sometimes much less when on special), the F25 RT is Roborock’s entry-level model in its wet-dry vacuum line-up. Despite sitting at the base of the range, it does an impressive job balancing performance, usability, and value. It’s not perfect as we’ll discuss, but it’s a genuinely helpful home companion for smaller households.
Design
The F25 RT feels compact and relatively lightweight at 4kg, which makes it easy to manoeuvre and store. The handle clicks into place with minimal setup fuss, and the docking station doesn’t dominate your floor space.
One notable omission is the lack of an LED display, a feature included on higher-end models like the F25, Ace, and Ultra. Without it, there’s no quick way to check your battery level or cleaning mode, just a small light indicator that blinks and then switches off after charging. It’s a little old-school, but not a deal breaker.

Internally, Roborock keeps things smartly compartmentalised: a clean water tank (870mL) and a dirty water tank (720mL) sit neatly in the body, both easy to remove and rinse. The design change (placing the clean tank lower, near the mop roller) initially feels odd but soon makes sense in day-to-day use.
Performance & Functionality
This is where the F25 RT earns its keep. With 20,000Pa of suction power, it handles dust, crumbs, fur, and small spills in one pass. On hard floors, it glides smoothly and rarely leaves any streaks or puddles behind. Even with a pet in the house, the vacuum didn’t clog or tangle easily, which is a big plus.

The Roborock F25 RT is perfect for small homes, units, and anyone who wants to simplify their floor-cleaning routine. If you have pets, tiles, or laminate flooring and you hate traditional mopping as much as I do, this will feel like a luxury.
It’s not meant for large, carpet-heavy homes or deep-clean fanatics. Instead, it’s for people who just want clean floors with as little effort as possible.
What it isn’t built for across the board, though, is deep-cleaning old or dried-on grime. Fresh spills? No problem. Stubborn gunk that’s been sitting for a few days? That might take a few extra passes or a bit of elbow grease. Still, for regular maintenance, it’s excellent. It’s the kind of device that encourages you to clean more often simply because it’s quick and painless.

Roborock quotes a 35-minute runtime in Eco mode, which aligns with real-world use. It’s enough for small to medium-sized homes, though those with expansive hard-floor areas might wish for the longer 60-minute battery life found in pricier models.
Despite the stripped-back approach, the F25 RT feels practical. It’s easy to push around, fits under furniture thanks to its flat-lying handle, and never feels clunky. The lightweight frame helps make up for the lack of motorised wheels that come with higher-end versions.
Charging takes roughly 3.5 hours, and while the lack of a proper battery indicator can be frustrating, you get used to the rhythm of using and recharging.
Self-Cleaning System
Once you’ve finished mopping or vacuuming, the self-cleaning feature is easily one of the F25 RT’s highlights. Dock the vacuum, press the button, and it rinses and dries its mop roller at 90°C, leaving it fresh and ready for next time.
The process isn’t silent (there’s some noticeable whirring), but the results are genuinely satisfying. After cleaning a particularly grimy mess, being a confessed messy meal prepper, the roller came out spotless. You’ll still need to rinse the tanks manually now and then, but maintenance overall is minimal. Which, for someone like me who only needs one small reason to avoid cleaning, is a huge plus.
Verdict & Value
The Roborock F25 RT isn’t flashy, but that’s part of its appeal. It skips the bells and whistles and focuses on what matters: quick, effective cleaning and easy maintenance. For under $600, or even better at its occasional Aldi special price of $299, it’s one of the best-value wet-dry vacuums you can buy right now.
It won’t replace a full vacuum or handle caked-on dirt, but for everyday messes, pet hair, and general upkeep, it’s a quietly brilliant addition to your home.
