Billie Marten to bring ‘Dog Eared’ to Australian stages next Feb

Fresh off the back of her sold-out Australian dates earlier this year, UK indie-folk standout Billie Marten has announced she’ll return in early 2026 for a headline tour. The Dog Eared Tour celebrates her critically acclaimed fifth album of the same name. The run will see her bringing her unmistakable sound to intimate stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Marten has long been carving a lane of her own, trademarking a certain commanding introspection. Across albums like Flora Fauna and Feeding Seahorses by Hand, she’s earned comparisons to Laura Marling and Julia Jacklin, but Dog Eared sees her step confidently into a lusher, full band-led sound while keeping that same precise softness at its core. Recorded in Brooklyn with a ten-person ensemble and produced by Philip Weinrobe (known for Big Thief’s Adrienne Lenker’s signature sound), Dog Eared, as DIY Mag puts it, is “her most confident outing yet”.

Nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2016 at just 17 and known for setlist staples like “La Lune,” “Vanilla Baby,” and “I Can’t Get My Head Around You,” Marten’s live shows exemplify her songwriting, exploring the intersection between the everyday and existential. Having now performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, from Glastonbury to Lollapalooza to this year’s Beyond The Valley, she brings with her a sense of calm that cuts through.
