Calling all Teenage Dirtbags: Wheatus are heading to Australia in 2026

It’s been 25 years since Wheatus released their self-titled debut, complete with iconic noughties classic “Teenage Dirtbag“. To celebrate this massive milestone, the band have lined up a run of shows across Australia in January 2026. New Zealand fans won’t miss out either, with Wheatus also announcing their first ever NZ dates as part of the tour.

Cultural touchstone “Teenage Dirtbag” went viral on TikTok back in 2023, and Wheatus’ momentum hasn’t slowed a bit since then. A 47 date run across the UK and Ireland, a tour with Bowling For Soup, which included some huge sold out shows, and a set in front of 20,000 people at last year’s Download Festival are just the tip of the iceberg – and all the more reason to catch them when they play these intimate Aussie and New Zealand venues next year.

The band will play their debut album in full, then it’s over to the fans, who’ll be able to get their requests in for any other favourites from across Wheatus’ three decade-long career. I’m personally hoping their collab with Busted is on the table, but I’ll settle for “Hey Fair Weather Friend”!

The tour will kick off in Brisbane on January 15th, before heading to Canberra, Newcastle, Tamworth, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Fremantle, and Duncraig. Wheatus will then head across the ditch for shows in Auckland, and Wellington.

Pre-sale kicks off Wednesday September 3d at 9am local, with general sale starting Thursday September 4th. You can sign up for pre-sale HERE.
