Scary Kids Scaring Kids have just announced a Aussie tour set for later this year, and they’ll be bringing fellow post-hardcore outfit A Skylit Drive along for the ride.
During the 2009 Warped Tour, lead singer Tyler Stevens took some time away, with genre legends including Vic Fuentes (Pierce the Veil) and Craig Mabbit (Escape the Fate) filling in on vocals. The band split in 2010, after a farewell tour, and, in 2014, Stevens sadly passed away. Reuniting in 2019 for “Loved Forever“, released on what would have been Stevens’ 34th birthday, SKSK went on to tour in celebration of debut album The City Sleeps In Flames‘ 15th birthday. By 2021, they were signed to Velocity Records, and in 2022, album Out Of Light was released, with each track featuring a guest vocalist, including Spencer Charnas (Ice Nine Kills), Noah Sebastian (Bad Omens), and Cove Reber (formerly of Saosin).
Now fronted by Albert Schweizer (Violent New Breed), their Aussie tour will kick off November 14th in Brisbane, with SKSK performing their self-titled second album in full.
Joining them will be California’s A Skylit Drive, also no strangers to tragedy after losing original vocalist Jordan Blake in 2023, just a year after reuniting in celebration of debut EP She Watched The Sky. A decade on from the release of last studio album ASD, they dropped latest single “Count Me Out” last year.
Pre-sale for the tour starts TODAY, with general sale kicking off on Tuesday 22nd April – more info and tickets HERE.
