Catcall announces Swimming Pool 12" release parties in Sydney and Melbourne!

‘‘Swimming Pool’’ is the latest offering from Sydney’s Catherine Kelleher aka Catcall. It’s the 1st slice to be delivered since her critically lauded ‘Anniversary EP’ dropped in 2008.

The now 23 year old Popstress first cut her musical teeth in DIY Punk out-fit Kiosk before morphing into Catcall where she quickly gained the attention from music lovers all over.

Her dazzling performance led her to join the stage alongside heavyweights such as The Gossip, Phoenix, La Roux as well as being invited to take stage at some of our biggest festivals like Big Day Out, Homebake and Parklife.

‘‘Swimming Pool’’ see’s Catcall explore her deeper roots and love of Disco. It’s a slow jam full of yearning and longing with a healthy dose of nostalgia wrapped up in blissful sonic brilliance. Warm synths sway with Italo inspired Guitars while Catherine’s haunting lyrics swim throughout the track ‘‘this is for my body…water in my veins’’

Production duties come from Julian Mendelsohn, the man responsible for such classics as ‘Need You Tonight’ by Inxs and ‘Relax’ and ‘Two Tribes’ by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. His interpretation of Swimming Pool is a 10 min blissed out extended version that has set the blog community ablaze with everyone from Fader to Pitchfork to Rose Quartz diving in.

“Swimming Pool” is available now on i-tunes, with a bundle to follow shortly. A limited edition 12’’ vinyl release will be available at launches in Sydney and Melbourne.
