Aussies Abroad: New International tour dates announced for Illy, Twerps, Xavier Rudd and Courtney Barnett!

Between wowing audiences with high energy live performances to winning highly respected awards all over the world, there’s no doubt Australians are making a big impact on the music industry. We've done another installment of Aussies Abroad, showing you the next bunch of artists to tour internationally:

Sasquatch! Music Festival Announces 2015 Lineup Including Tame Impala, Courtney Barnett, Flume, Robert Plant & More

Annual Washington-based music festival, Sasquatch! has recently announced their 2015 lineup. Set to take place at Gorge Amphitheater on Memorial Day weekend (May 22-25) the line up includes Modest Mouse, Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Lana Del Ray, Kendrick Lamar, Spoon and Ryan Adams. Holding their own amongst these top-billed international artists are several Australian acts, including Tame Impala, Courtney Barnett and Flume.

Sam Smith and Beck dominate the top prizes at 2015 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles; see the full list of winners!

The 2015 Grammy Awards have come and gone once again with their hundreds of awards categories - only a few of which are televised. Of those awards, Australia bound Sam Smith was the clear winner of the night, taking home four trophies, Record and Song of the Year, as well as best Pop Vocal Album and Best New Artist. Beck, meanwhile, has won Album of the Year for Morning Phase, as well as Best Rock Album. The full list of winners are below:

The Jesus and Mary Chain, Kiesza, Cloud Nothings and more confirmed as headline performers at Canadian Music Week 2015!

A strong list of international artists have been announced as headline performers for Canadian Music Week 2015! The festival, running from May 1st-10th across 60 live music venues in Toronto, will see the likes of Cloud Nothings, The Jesus and Mary Chain and more hit the stage for some unforgettable moments of performance.

SAFIA, George Maple and more added to the SXSW Music programme!

In case you missed the news over the weekend, SXSW just keeps on getting bigger, with more names being added to the 2015 Music line up! While the likes of LOLAWOLF, Hudson Mohawke, Buck 65 and more are set to join in on the Austin party in March, we're excited to see some more of our fave Australian talent in SAFIA, George Maple, Steve Smyth and others also US-bound!

Impressive list of Australian artists including APES & REMi UK-bound for The Great Escape!

For many bands around the world, earning a spot on The Great Escape Festival in the UK means a great deal - you've got a huge load of exposure, the potential to discover new bands and of course, the opportunity to be discovered. In its 10th year in 2015, the Brighton-based festival releases a stellar line up of bands from around the globe, all set to descend on the site in May for what is touted as Europe's leading festival for new music.

St Jerome's Laneway Festival tour kicks off for 2015 in Singapore with St Vincent, Banks, Chet Faker and more.

"This country is becoming one of the cultural epicentres of the world!" - Festival co-founder Danny Rogers said yesterday, as he thanked punters at the end of St Jerome's Laneway Festival 2015. The country he was talking about was Singapore, which served as the opening date of the festival run for the fifth consecutive year, before it hits Auckland tomorrow and then makes its way to Australia where the full lineup will join the tour.

South by South West 2015 adds 170+ new acts including some from Perth, Sydney and Melbourne

The biggest music international music conference of the year, South by Southwest (SXSW) has been busy sifting through the world wide music scene and picked up over 170 new acts who will be showcasing at the event in March. The SXSW crew will be confirming more acts and sessions every day between now and the event, but as it stands the line up of music acts is - as always - epic. In addition to these new acts, SXSW has also confirmed 12 new, engaging sessions for their traditional Music Conference.

The Church, Chet Faker, Twerps & Movement join The Strokes, Patti Smith & more at Primavera Sound!

Primavera Sound has, for another year, got us wanting to pack our bags for a Spanish getaway this May! For its 15th year, the epic music festival will be bringing together the likes of The Strokes, Patti Smith, The Black Keys, Sleater-Kinney and more to celebrate in Barcelona. While a lot of the bands featured on this year's Primavera line up you'll note as having visited Australia over the past 12 months or are perhaps set to come out this way, the calibre of bands on this bad boy is just ridiculous good.

Australia & New Zealand Take the Spotlight at Canadian Music Week 2015

The Annual Canadian Music Week has chosen to feature Australia and New Zealand for their 33rd installment, hosting 21 elite industry members and over 25 artists to participate in conferences, performances and awards shows... with more to come!

Flume, Courtney Barnett and more Aussies join Billy Joel, Robert Plant, Deadmau5 and more at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival 2015

World renowned American Festival Bonnaroo has just announced their 2015 lineup. Headlining acts include Billy Joel, Mumford and Sons, Deadmau5, Florence and the Machine and Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, as well as 2014’s break out artist, Hozier, who's playing Bluesfest this year in Australia.

Meg Mac, Remi, Kirin J Callinan and more added to the SXSW Music line up!

SXSW have released another round of musicians from around the world who will be joining the massive music program as part of their 2015 program overnight, featuring a strong line up of Australian artists who are sure to make their impact in Austin next March! Included on SXSW Music's third round are the likes of Meg Mac, Remi, Kirin J Callinan and Tkay Maidza, while on an international level, punters can be expecting the likes of Circa Waves, Best Coast, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Marina and the Diamonds to showcase!

The Who, Elton John, No Doubt, Wilco and more set to perform at New Orleans Jazz Fest!

Welp, count us keen. The line up for the 2015 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, or Jazz Fest, has just revealed the list of names set to perform this year and it is nothing short of mega. Leading the announcement is Elton John and The Who, while the likes of Gurrumul, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, No Doubt, Keith Urban, Wilco and The Meters are also announced to be playing. And they're only just getting started.

Tame Impala, DMA's, Vance Joy and more Aussies set to play NYC's Governors Ball!

Hot on the heels of the Coachella 2015 line up, the Governors Ball in New York City has presented its bill for this year's festival set to take place in June. The wildly popular weekend of music at Randall's Island Park from June 5-7 is this year featuring an international smorgasbord of artists including Drake, The Black Keys and Bjork.

SXSW's second artist announcement came out of Austin in the early hours of this morning, revealing a whole new stack of artists from around the world who will be taking part in the March 17 - 22 program next year! It's shaping up to be another kickass few days of live music and conference sessions spread throughout the Texan city, and the Australian contingent is only getting stronger, with Hiatus Kaiyote, Lenka, Gang of Youths and Mansionair now joining the bill.
