TV on the Radio, Ludacris and Z-Trip bring SXSW Interactive to an end for 2015 at Stubb's BBQ.

After five days of talks, events and parties (...lots of parties), the Interactive portion of SXSW came to an end tonight with a massive party at Austin's iconic Stubb's BBQ outdoor amphitheater, presented by Media Temple. The drinks and BBQ flowed as Z-Trip, Ludacris and TV on the Radio performed in front of some two thousand lucky attendees. Relatively intimate for all, no doubt.

Last year Foo Fighters set off on their epic Sonic Highways recording tour, during which they stopped in eight cities all over America to record the tracks for their latest album of the same name. The series, dubbed by Dave Grohl as, "a love letter to the history of American music" aired late last year, set in iconic locations such as Nashville, LA, Chicago and NYC.

Brisbane's Conrad Sewell helps open Spotify House at SXSW

The annual celebration that is Spotify House returned to SXSW today, for the start of no less SIX days of live music, free food, free drinks and something called "SoulCycle", which seems to include live music and a bunch of exercise bikes... you may have to head along to find out for yourself, should you be in Austin this week! Helping ring in the first day was Brisbane artist Conrad Sewell, who in just a couple of days will be returning to Australia to perform around the country with Ed Sheeran.

Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival announce SXSW showcase line ups

Always a nice indicator as to who may be appearing on the Splendour In the Grass and Falls Festival line ups each year is their curated showcases at mega-conference SXSW. We've already had a dose of what Laneway has in store for SXSW, now it's time for the rumour mill to spark up for both SITG and Falls Fest as Secret Sounds announce who will be playing at their showcase on Wednesday March 18th in Texas live music venue Holy Mountain.

For the past four years, Laneway Festival has celebrated their internationally renouned festival by throwing a special party at SXSW. The event often serves as an indicator of some of the bands we might end up seeing at Laneway in Australia in the following year. Electric Picnic Music and Arts Festival releases lineup, naming Australian talents

One of Ireland’s biggest festivals have just dropped their 2015 lineup and it is full of stellar acts! The annual Electric Picnic Festival is a three day event held in Stradbally, Ireland. The greatly anticipated lineup was only released less than 24 hours ago and sees ethereal act Florence + The Machine and electronic duo Underworld as headliners.

NPR always has its finger on the pulse when it comes to pulling together some of the best names in music, both established and up and coming, for its SXSW line up. They've just announced the artists confirmed to perform at their opening night event at Stubb's this year and as we'd expect, the menu of music on offer is looking sweet indeed.

And the FADER Fort line up for SXSW 2015 have begun rolling out! These parties are always incredibly popular and have some amazing and eclectic artists gracing the stage during the multi-day event and this year is no different. The Converse presented event returns to Austin from March 18th-21st and has released just some of the names confirmed to perform.

Lollapalooza Berlin debuting in September, featuring Tame Impala, The Libertines & more!

Lollapalooza continues its world domination, heading to Europe for the first time this year! September sees the festival set its eyes on Berlin, with the likes of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and The Libertines set to to headline the inaugural festival at Tempelhof. Tame Impala, Little Dragon, Hot Chip and Run The Jewels have also been confirmed to appear at Lolla Berlin over the two day event, with many, many more artists still to be announced!

Over 200 new acts - including Tigertown - added to SXSW 2015!

It's only a little over two weeks until SXSW insanity kicks off, but still the artist announcements keep rolling in. In the latest round of additions, Sydney band Tigertown get the call up - the only Australians in this round - alongside over 200 international acts. MS MR, Charles Bradley, Milky Chance, and Hamilton Leithauser all feature. An interview with Wynonna Judd has also been added to the Music Conference.

The Griswolds, The Preatures and more join Morrissey and The Killers on the 2015 Firefly Festival bill!

The line up for the popular Firely Festival has been released, with a swag of our favourite artists set to fly out to Delaware this June to play alongside some of the world's best live bands. A mysterious third headliner is blanked out on the festival poster, with many already speculating that Paul McCartney will take the spot - with his many appearances lately, it wouldn't be totally surprising. For now, we know that Kings of Leon and The Killers lead the top row, with the likes of Morrissey, Bastille, Foster the People, Modest Mouse and Snoop Dogg following hot on their heels.

OK, everyone take a deep breath. Firstly, if you've been to SXSW before you know how it works. You're not going to see half the stuff you want to see, and half the stuff you want to see now will be superseded by not-so-secret shows that aren't officially announced until the day. The epic Austin festival is just that - so, again, take a deep breath, because the initial showcase timetables are out... now!
