
Ah, Field Day; the party that started the shift in New Years Day reveling returns for another year to claim its mantle. Now in its 11th year, it’s amazing to see how the festival has grown through trends and now a whole new generation of partiers. Fluro, Nu Rave, Breaks, Dubstep – even the garage rock fad; every trend over the last decade has seen its fair share of the Domain’s green field.

With their Australian tour tickets selling like hot cakes at McDonalds or beer at the Big Day out, Two Door Cinema Club have added a Sydney headline show to their Australian tour (Jan 3, Hordern Pavilion). The Irish trio have also announced a SECOND all-ages show for Brisbane in January.

Exciting festival news has emerged from the Fuzzy offices today, with the annoucement of Field Day's first act, as well as the return of Harbourlife! Harbourlife, arguably the most spectacular summer party to be held in Sydney, will return to the iconic Mrs Macquarie's point on the first of December, 2012.

There are only a handful of Australian festivals that can arouse the kind of excitement that always surrounds Fuzzy’s Field Day, without a doubt the biggest New Year ’s Day celebration in Sydney, always bringing quality line-ups to our shores.

As we hit the second day of 2012, we take a look back at how hundreds of thousands of music fans around Australia brought in 2012 through a string of events on New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Two of the hottest properties in dance music, Calvin Harris and Example have joined French electro-maestros Justice on the Field Day 2012 line-up. Sydney’s best New Year’s Day party is further enhanced by the dubstep stylings of Modestep and a solid squadron of local stars including Flight Facilities, The Aston Shuffle , Cloud Control and New Navy.
