As a front man for one of New Zealand’s favorite bands Tiki Taane had it all going for him. There was fame, there was fortune, there was even a musical family and one is guessing some pretty good gunja but none of that was enough to keep Taane way from his vision. So he put his nerves aside, packed the instruments and swapped gunja for rain gods as he started to follow the musical vision of his adult self.

Kia ora! Last night I made my way to Selenas at Coogee Bay Hotel. And it's a 'negative' if you think I went for the ice cream - it was minus 100 degrees anyway. However, instead I was there to see someone cooler than that - “King of Dub” and multi-platinum New Zealand artist Tiki Taane. I was superkeen to see him perform to celebrate his latest album release In The World Of Light on his east coast Aussie tour and it was an honour to be there.
In March 2011, multi –platinum award winning New Zealand artist Tiki released his new album ‘In The Word Of Light’ through Stop Start/EMI Music Austraila.
This month he will land in Australia for an east coast tour, a brand new song in hand called Freedom To Sing, written in response to his recent arrest in NZ.......
