The Lonely Island coming back to cinemas with Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

Musical and comedy group The Lonely Island are coming back to cinemas this year with the graciously-titled Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

The film will go behind the scenes of the music industry as singer/rapper Conner4Real (Andy Samberg) faces a crisis of popularity after his sophomore album flops, leaving his fans, sycophants and rivals all wondering what to do when he’s no longer the dopest star of all.

Check out the first official poster, showing  Samberg as Conner, below.

With Judd Apatow co-producing and Sarah Silverman co-starring, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is already sounding like a worthy follow up to 2007’s Hot Rod.

Look forward to its release in Australian cinemas on June 2nd 2016.
