THE BLACK KEYS

Sadly, the always anticipated The Black Keys will no longer be touring Australia and New Zealand (and Japan) in April, including their scheduled performances at Bluesfest Byron Bay. The cancellation comes due to drummer Patrick Carney suffering a serious shoulder injury.

The Church, Chet Faker, Twerps & Movement join The Strokes, Patti Smith & more at Primavera Sound!

Primavera Sound has, for another year, got us wanting to pack our bags for a Spanish getaway this May! For its 15th year, the epic music festival will be bringing together the likes of The Strokes, Patti Smith, The Black Keys, Sleater-Kinney and more to celebrate in Barcelona. While a lot of the bands featured on this year's Primavera line up you'll note as having visited Australia over the past 12 months or are perhaps set to come out this way, the calibre of bands on this bad boy is just ridiculous good.

Without further ado...

It's been a long three years for Black Keys fans. The blues-rock duo have finally released a new single, "Fever," which comes off their anticipated eighth LP Turn Blue, due May 13. There's a touch of unfamiliar electronica here which hints at a slightly different direction for the new album. We'll have to wait and see, listen to it now:

Live Review: The Black Keys- Sydney Entertainment Centre (22.10.12)

Waiting for The Black Keys to start you wouldn’t have known it was a sold out show. The Royal Headache played to a rather quiet house but as soon as the lights dimmed and The Black Keys opened with “Howlin’ For You” there wasn’t a vacant seat.
