REMI

Sydney's KLP (AKA Kristy Lee Peters) has teamed up with unstoppable Melbourne rapper Remi for her new track "Recover", a sure-shot hit for Australia's festival season with its breathlessly energetic vibe. Full of Kristy's layered vocals and Remi's witty lyricism, the hyperactive song is yet another strong offering from the multi-talented Triple J House Party host.

Darwin Festival Photo Gallery: Remi - The Lighthouse (14.08.15)

Damn sweaty, damn pumped up, damn Darwin loves Remi! His first visit to the Top End and Remi was greeted with a mass of sweaty, hip hop, beat loving Territorians who filled The Lighthouse for the special Darwin Festival show. Remi absolutely smashed it... like Tyson. Check out the photos from The AU Review's #dfest15 photographer Amy Hetherington.

Exclusive Playlist: Tuka gives us four of his favourite tunes on 'L.D.T.E' release day!

Today marks the release of Tuka's third solo album, Life Death Time Eternal and already, the response has been extremely dope. As our Artist of the Month for July, the rapper has recently taken over AU Radio, today has announced a national tour for the album and he's brought us a little slice of what music influences him and hell, some tunes he's digging hard at the moment. Check his playlist out!

Our 20 Favourite Records of 2015... So Far (Part One: 20-11)

It's that time of the year where everyone takes a look through their new record collections and if you're like us, you're wondering just how it's possible so much good music has been released in 2015 already! We asked our contributors to give us their favourite albums of 2015 as of this halfway point and as the results show, there's definitely some musical gold in the ranks. Take a look at the first installment of the AU's 'Top 20 Records of 2015 So Far'...

The Best of 2015 (So Far): Top 20 Hip Hop Tracks (Part One: 20-11)

The past six months have been good for hip hop, in terms of both mixtapes and studio albums. Kendrick and Lupe are head and heels above everyone else so far, thanks to two very distinctive, conceptual albums, but the quality of songs being released indicates that the two emcees may see a heap of competition by the time 2016 rolls around. From interesting production, to straight-up rhyme-fests, these are the singles we think have stood out as the best this year. No artist (unless featuring) appears more than twice, otherwise I might as well copy and paste the tracklist to Tetsuo & Youth. This is part one, 20-11.

Single of the Day: Remi "Weirdos (From Planet HOB)" (2015)

As Remi's highly acclaimed, multi-award winning debut LP Raw x Infinity continues to dominate across international waters, the Melbourne emcee is getting busy on his next project, the free mixtape Call It What You Want (F.Y.G ACT:2). Today, the first single has been revealed. "Weirdos (From Planet HOB)" once again pulls Remi's captivating flow over a twisted dreamscape from close collaborator Sensible J.

REMI announces release of "Call It What You Want" mixtape and June tour dates!

It's not long now before REMI and Sensible J head back off overseas to play shows in Europe, continuing the great momentum they generated in March when they blew people away and got industry folk talking at SXSW in the U.S. Representing for Aussie hip-hop brilliantly, the two creatives out of Melbourne have made a stamp completely their own with the release and live development of the acclaimed Raw x Infinity album and next week, fans are going to have some new material to be getting around, no doubt enthusiastically as ever.
