
When iconic Australian rock act Powderfinger announced their split last year, it sent waves through the music community. Following the conclusion of the massive Sunsets tour, the Powderfinger name hasn't completely disappeared off the radar, with a single release to aid the Premier's Flood Relief, as well as special edition merch still going strong.

Taking out the top spot in The Hottest 100 Australian Albums Of All Time is Powderfinger with their album Odyssey Number Five.
Over 300,000 people bid farewell to one of Australia’s beloved bands, Powderfinger, earlier this year as the band travelled the country for their most extensive tour of Australia ever, which was also sadly their last. The curtain came down for the final time, fittingly where it all began nearly two decades ago, in the band’s hometown of Brisbane.
They don’t call it Big for nothing. After what seemed a lifetime of waiting since the tickets went on sale (two hours earlier than they should have for some, thanks for the heads up Facebook!), Friday the 22nd of January was upon us. And boy, was it upon us.
