It has been five long years since we have heard anything new from Zach Smith and Rob Crow, namely Pinback. However, they are back with their rockin' jam, "Proceed To Memory", which is from their much-awaited full-length release, Information Retrieved, set to be out on October 16, 2012, across the globe.

As soon as I arrived at Manning Bar with an overwhelming rush of anxiety and anticipation for what was to be the Sydney venue for their first Australian Tour, I knew things would be different after coming to the realisation that Pinback vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Rob Crow, was in fact the one selling merchandise before the show, not to mention stepping into the room to find no barriers separating the crowd from the stage.

Last night Pinback hit the shores of Sydney as part of their first Australian Tour. Kyleigh Pitcher was there at The Manning Bar, to capture one of the rare shows.

Following the announcement of Pinback’s highly anticipated first ever Australian tour this month, Handsome Tours are pleased to announce the exciting array of support acts accompanying the iconic indie rockers.
Artists joining Pinback include Melodie Nelson in Sydney, Jamie Hay in Melbourne, The Trouble With Templeton in Brisbane and Leap Year in Perth.

In less than two weeks, Pinback will finally be making it down to Australia. A couple of weeks ago Larry caught up briefly with Zach Smith of the famed indie rock band to discuss their debut appearance in Australia, the decline of the physical album, beaches, recording their new album and more!
What are you working on at the moment? Are you working on the new record?

Civil Society is proud to announce the first ever Australian tour of Californian indie rockers Pinback.
