Music Video of the Day: Peking Duk "Say My Name" (2015)

Canberra's Peking Duk regularly deliver some pretty great content - both in music and video form. Their latest video for "Say My Name" (featuring Benjamin Joseph) may just take the cake, however. The Anthony Chirco directed video is hilarious and features Matt McGorry of Orange Is The New Black and How To Get Away With Murder. Adam from the duo, as well as Matt himself had a few words to say about our Music Video of the day:

Photo by Daniel Boczarski, backstage at Lollapalooza

From touring the USA, electronic duo Peking Duk are gearing up for this year’s Stereosonic playing among the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Axwell & Ingrosso and DJ Snake. They have undoubtedly killed it these past couple of years with the success of their singles “High”, “Take Me Over” and now with their new single “Say My Name”. We had a chat to Reuben about the origin of their name, David Hasselhoff and of course Stereosonic.

We got to spend quite a lot of time backstage at Lollapalooza this year, interviewing a pile of our favourite artists - which you'll be seeing online in the days to come - and thought we'd bring you a few candid moments we captured over the weekend, from Peking Duk just after they destroyed it on stage to Chicago's own Twin Peaks, Angus and Julia Stone and a bit of a photobomb during our Hermitude interview. Paul McCartney, Alabama Shakes, Hot Chip and more help kick off Lollapalooza in Chicago for 2015!

Sir Paul McCartney made his Lollapalooza debut last night, helping kick off the iconic three day event in Chicago with a massive two hour, 15 minute set that saw the legendary artist delve into his catalogue of Wings and Beatles songs that had the tens of thousands of fans singing along from start to finish. He even had Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes singing along, when she joined the Beatle for a rendition of "Get Back" on both vocals and guitar, taking on a verse for herself with a gusto that we're sure would have contradicted the "pinch me, is this actually happening?" feeling anyone would experience in that situation.

Five Performances you can't miss at Lollapalooza 2015 this Friday July 31st - other than Paul McCartney!

It's that time of year again as tens of thousands of people head to Chicago's Grant Park for the iconic Lollapalooza festival - a three day music festival that's considered one of the finest in the world. Headlining this year we have Paul McCartney, Metallica and recent Australian visitors Florence + The Machine. You may have heard of them. But the headliners aren't the only bands worth seeing at the event - over the next few days, we're going to bring you five bands you can't miss for every day of the event, starting with, naturally, Friday! Naturally, you have to see Paul McCartney... after all, Kanye discovered him. But here are five of the best of the rest:

the AU interview: Reuben Styles of Peking Duk talks Splendour in the Grass & "Say My Name"!

Reuben of Peking Duk fame isn't the globe-trotting producer fresh off a plane from a successful US jaunt when I'm chatting with him on Wednesday morning. He still sounds a little jet-lagged but otherwise refreshed and ready to get back into it, it being the duo's highly anticipated set at Splendour in the Grass over the weekend. Instead of trading stories about backstage antics at Coachella or what any type of hard partying antics that may be heading his way at Splendour, we spend a decent time discussing a shared favoured fine cuisine.

'Splendour in the Grass TV' to broadcast sets by Blur, Royal Blood, Peking Duk & more this weekend!

Or maybe you prefer to head to the slew of sideshows hitting the east coast over the next two weeks? Either way, if you still crave the musical moments from the festival no doubt someone you know will be talking about for the next few weeks, Splendour and Telstra have you covered with 'Splendour in the Grass TV'!
