The lineup for Fuji Rock Festival has just been updated, with the 15 additions only adding to the 3-day festival's bursting line-up. Set in Naeba Ski Resort in Japan's central island's western side, the festival has just entered its 17th year and shows no sign of slowing down. With an incredibly eclectic mix of performers (everything from the enthralling vocals of Bjork to DJ Bauer, the inventor of the Harlem Shake, and Japanese folk musician Morio Agata), there's a huge array of choices sure to leave the perfect timetable makers rewriting their plans until their arrival at the festival.

Will they or won’t they? While we will never be sure who is playing a festival until the promoters actually release a line-up, it’s always fun to speculate and throw around any rumours that come up. The next big festival yet to announce their line-up is Splendour In The Grass. With the line-ups for Primavera, Summersonic and Coachella festivals already out there, it’s time to salivate over who will may (or have already actually confirmed) continue down here fore Australia’s premier winter festival.

I love music documentaries. If my annual Sydney Film Festival coverage is anything to go by, by and large I'm first in line for the latest release. Lemmy definitely ranks high on the list of Sydney Film Festival favourites, a man who would count himself as good mates with another man named Mr. Dave Grohl - they even made some music together in Probot. The reason I bring up the Foo Fighters frontman is that he's been hard at work on a documentary of his own: Sound City, based around the rise and fall of legendary Los Angeles recording studio of the same name, where Nevermind was recorded amongst many other legendary records. Many others.

In the sight-centric world of art, colour perhaps plays the most crucial role in giving an image emotion. Even the lack of colour, a black or white canvas, can provoke an emotional reaction from its audience. Colour was the theme of Friday night’s ColourGRIND 2012 Exhibition, featuring local and national artist exhibiting their works to raise money for the vision impaired.
This night is somewhat of a dream come true, a night of many dreams true! I made my way down to Festival Hall and through the sea of Tool and Marilyn Manson tee shirts, to find a spot with a good view, to see these dream come to life! Right now I realise I sound like a real dick, but I can’t help it, this night had been a long time coming!
