Festival Review: Splendour In The Grass (Day Three) Ft. Ben Howard + Lily Allen + Phantogram - Sunday (27.07.14)

The final day of Splendour In The Grass 2014 saw some of the weekend's best performances, with each of the main stages capped of in very different ways. The Ampitheatre closed for 2014, sent off with a colourful performance from subversive pop star Lily Allen, and leaving us with the weekend's stand-out performances to reminisce on. Elsewhere the GW McLennan Tent was sent swaying to the warmth of Ben Howard (pictured), and the Mix-Up Stage saw it's first dose of slow-burning, artful electronica – as compared to the usual speaker-assaulting trend tracks – with Darkside, who brought a much more unexpected sound to the tent.

Festival Review: St Jerome's Laneway Festival - Perth Cultural Precinct (09.02.13)

Well that’s it. The last Laneway Festival of the year has come and gone. The festivals run of shows came to a sweltering sold-out climax at Perth’s Cultural precinct. Looking at the line-up (Of Monsters and Men & The Reubens in particular) it’s hardly surprising that Perth along with a number of the other dates sold out. Though despite it’s sold out status, it felt fairly quiet until the majority of the punters arrived a couple of hours into the day.

Sydney Festival Live Review: Nicolas Jaar - Paradiso at Town Hall (23.01.13)

Still fairly young, Nicolas Jaar has been hyped on the back of his excellent 2011 LP Space is Only Noise and his uncanny ability to create deep house and layer it with some of the most beautiful instrumentals the style has seen in quite a long time.

Yeasayer, Bat For Lashes, Japandroids plus more to feature at the Laneway Festival in 2013.

The line up for the Laneway Festival has been released for another year, with 30 acts from Australia and around the globe set to tour the country in 2013. With last year's festival featuring the likes of M83, Active Child and The Horrors, music lovers can catch the stylings of the following bands in a laneway setting near them in February next year.
