Dark Mofo Photo Gallery: Eye: Circom + My Disco + Jake Blood + Kusum Normoyle - The Odeon, Hobart (19.06.15)

The Red Bull Music Academy presented night opens with banshee-like singer Kusum Normoyle (Pictured) and two banks of Marshall amps set to feedback. After an interlude with some techno disco sounds by Melbourne's Jake Blood the room is ready for iconic Japanese musician Yamantaka Eye. Six laptops programmed with synthesizers are arranged in a circle, each controlled by a musician and directed by Eye. The result is a mesmerising spectacle of noise. The night is finished off by Melbourne's My Disco with their agitated wall of sound. John Goodridge was there to bring you these photos.

My Disco finally touring Australia again this June!

Australian rock trio My Disco are playing Hobart's Dark MOFO Festival this June, and in the spirit of fairness they're also playing a select number of shows on the mainland. After having played only one show in the last 18 months, this mini tour will be a chance for fans of My Disco to get a chance to hear some new music from the band in advance of a new, as yet unnamed album.

Photo Gallery: DARK MOFO Club Nights ft DC 3 + Super Wild Horses + Miles Brown and more... - Faux Mo (19.06.13)

For 3 cold, wintry nights during DARK MOFO, a disused cinema/theatre space is transformed into a dark club with bands, performance art, DJ's, and general oddities and weirdness celebrating all that is debaucherous and sexy and decadent. Tony Proudfoot was there to represent the AU review and brings us these photos from all three nights.

Live Review: All Tomorrow's Parties present "I'll Be Your Mirror" - Melbourne (16-17.02.13)

Founded in 1999, the concept of All Tomorrow’s Parties (ATP) is simple: a brand of music festivals which provide an alternative, counter-culture to your typical festival. ATP is a musical celebration which takes classic rock bands and lets them curate an entire line-up, allowing the punter to expand their music taste, and/or witness bands they never thought they’d ever get to see; bands which have been vetted by their favourite musicians.

My Disco + Geoffrey O’Connor - The Toff In Town (24.04.2011)

Local artist Geoffrey O’Connor (Sly Hats, Crayon Fields) has one of the more awkward stage presence’s I’ve seen in a long time. He posses little charisma and between songs there was a lot of uncomfortable rambling, which one didn’t expect from a performer whose been around for as long as O’Connor has.
