Single of the Day: Meg Mac "Never Be" (2015)

Those of you who caught Meg Mac at Splendour recently, I'm jealous. For the rest of us, this week has been a good one in Meg Mac-updates, with the release of her new single in "Never Be"! The Melbourne artist is heading back to the US, but not before leaving us once again stunned by her entrancing vocals and and soul-crushing delivery on this one, produced by the excellent M-Phazes.

If you're heading up to North Byron Parklands this weekend be sure to catch the following sets:

Meg Mac has been taking the US by storm in recent months, not only wowing crowds at SXSW, but recently supporting D'Angelo and the Vanguard on their coast-to-coast tour. Even when she's stepped out on her own, the triple J Unearthed Artist of the Year from 2014 has been slaying. Meg's not stopping though, today she's announced a new run of headline dates for Australian fans to get to this September and October! With a new single in "Never Be" coming soon, the talented vocalist will be taking the newbie to venues around the country for her final lot of Australian appearances this year before she heads back overseas.

Mumford & Sons will be bringing their latest, Wilder Mind, through Australia this November for a run of shows that yes, may only see them in the country for a short time, but by no means will be a measly blip on the radar. Festival Review: Groovin' The Moo - Bendigo Showgrounds (02.05.15)

On the third leg of the tour, Groovin' The Moo sprung into action at the Prince Of Wales Showground in Bendigo. The weather looked ominous at the start but fortunately, the clouds cleared for a beautiful warm sunny day that was ripe for good music vibes all day long.

Festival Review: Groovin The Moo - Hay Park, Bunbury (26.04.15)

The cars were packed, the cow onesies dusted off and the fast food outlet lines were long – Groovin The Moo had arrived. We’d all spent the day in wait, enviously scrolling past the Oakbank highlights flooding our newsfeed, planning out our timetables like tactical masterminds. In true WA form the sun was out for an easy 25 degree day as we crossed the grassy grounds of Hay Park to the gate. Some people seemed aimless and there were a few tears spotted by the info gate as it seemed the sold out status of the festival was still hitting punters hard, but ticket in hand we pressed on pass the gathering pile of deodorant cans and the sceptical bag checker asking “Really?” as a young girl handed over her sacred bottle of perfume.

Groovin The Moo Festival 2015 at Hay Park, Bunbury Western Australia.

The sun came out to plat on the second stop on the Groovin the Moo festival with a lineup featuring Wolfmother, Charli XCX, You Me at Six, Sticky Fingers, One Day, Tkay Maidza and more. Stuart Sevastos was on the ground to capture the highlights of the day.

Sosefina Fuamoli's Picks: The Five Best Artists of SXSW 2015!

And just like that, as quickly as it began, we reached the end of yet another chaotic SXSW. With so many performances to filter and pick from over the past week, it's been hard to determine what has been classified a 'stand out' moment from the epic music festival. Between the four of us who scattered throughout Austin each day and night in an attempt to cover as much ground as possible, there were many memorable moments we all took away from the showcases we were able to attend (not marred by healthy amounts of tequila, of course) and below are just some of my choice artists who ranked highly this year.

A$AP Ferg, Broods, Hilltop Hoods and more feature on the 2015 Groovin The Moo bill!

Australia's huge regional touring festival, Groovin the Moo, has dropped its line up this morning, sure to rev festival punters up into a tizz. Last year saw GTM introduce a South Australian leg to the tour and in 2015, the Oakbank Racecourse in the Adelaide Hills is where GTM will start. Kicking off on ANZAC Day, the likes of A$AP Ferg, Hilltop Hoods, Broods and more will perform around the country at venues in Bunbury, Bendigo, Canberra, Maitland and finally Townsville. Like most years, tickets for Groovin the Moo tend to fly out the window, so keep an eye on sale dates and jump up on em!
