Swedish group Goat to co-headline Australian shows with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard this December

With their 2012 break-out debut World Music and their 2014 album Commune, Sweden's Goat have made plenty of fans around the world, and now they're finally coming to Australia. The band deliver a heavy dose of acidic grooves, hypnotic incantations, serpentine guitar lines, Nigerian afrobeat and Anatolian funk. They’ve taken their electrifying show around the USA and Europe and now the guys will embark on their debut tour of Australia with our own garage psych lords King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, alongside their already announced appearance at Meredith Festival!

Foals and Bloc Party lead the first artist announcement for the Falls & Southbound festivals!

Now that Splendour in the Grass is over for another year, Australian festival goers can now look ahead to the next major run of festivals coming up over the New Year period and for 2015, the crew behind the Falls and Southbound festivals have delivered a pretty slick line up of artists set to bring in your New Year right. Leading the first artist announcement of the festival tour are Foals and Bloc Party, both British bands who have long enjoyed a successful relationship with fans in Australia.

Over 8 days, 100,000 passionate music lovers got together to experience music, camping culture, art, community, charity and sustainability at the Roskilde Festival. There were different zones around the festival including: street city, graffiti zone, art zone and Dream City. Roskilde Festival is about 30 kilometers from Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, and after being built, this temporary city becomes the 4th largest in Denmark. Although I only attended one day, I couldn't help but get swept up in the vibe...

Album Review: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – Quarters (LP 2015)

The new album by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is much less aggressive than their last conceptual album I’m in your Mind Fuzz. This sixth installment in the list of studio albums by these Melbournites is infinitely more chill. There’s a retrospective sense in the lo-fi style quality of this album entitled Quarters. Stu McKenzie’s lyrics seem to come through almost muffled over the lazy waves of twanging guitars.

Chet Faker, King Gizzard & Flume join the likes of Frank Ocean, Bloc Party & Morrissey at LA's FYF Fest in August!

The two day FYF Fest in Los Angeles has unveiled its 2015 line up and god damn it, does it look tasty. Held over the weekend of August 22/23, the festival brings together a diverse range of artists including huge names like Frank Ocean, Morrissey, The Jesus and Mary Chain, D'Angelo and more. Australians Chet Faker, Flume and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are also in the mix, making this a festival we're - yet again - jealous to not be attending. If, however, you happen to be in LA this August, below is all the info you're going to need.
