the AU Weekend Gig Guide: April 24th - April 26th.

As most of the country starts heading into its wintry phase, Sydney recovers from the 'Super Storm' and the rest of us begin rugging up as we look towards the mid-year mark, there are a great deal of tours preparing to kick off. Before Splendour in the Grass mania descends on the east coast, we've still got the mammoth Groovin' the Moo tour to get underway, with some fab local and international talent gearing up to hit regional areas over the past few weeks. Our gig guide this weekend features some of the artists on the tour, with some other gems we think are worth a look.

the AU review's 15 Australian artists to watch in 2015

It's that time again where we look ahead to the year, rather than backwards, and move through the Australian artists we think will make it big in 2015. Now, our definition of "big" doesn't mean a Gotye size explosion - we just think that by the end of this year, all these artists will be well known around the country... some even internationally. Of course, many are well on their way there already. If you look back at our lists from 2013 and 2012, you'll see that usually we're fairly on the ball here. So pay attention! And now, in no particular order:

New Music Video: George Maple "Vacant Space" (2014)

The intriguing George Maple has been turning heads through 2014 and it's no real surprise as to why. The 24 year old songstress has already dominated on live stages, risen to more popularity in appearing on Flume's "Bring You Down" track and now is continuing the momentum in producing some standout material of her own. New single "Vacant Space" is the title track from her debut EP, available now on Future Classic.
