We return to Austin for the second weekend of the annual Austin City Limits Festival. The first day brought us the likes of the Foo Fighters, Royal Blood, Billy Freakin' Idol, The Maccabees, Run The Jewels, Run The Jewels, Tame Impala and much, much more... Geoffrey D'Unienville flew over for the event and brings us all the action here:

Falls Festival sideshows announced for Foals, Bloc Party, Halsey, Disclosure and more!

We're two months out from the Falls and Southbound festivals kicking off for another year and like previous years, tickets have been flying for the events held around the country over the New Year's period. With the likes of Foals, Bloc Party and The Wombats headlining, the festival tour this year has represented a strong line up of international favourites, not to mention a crop of artists from Australia and abroad who've broke out strongly through 2015. Today, a bunch of official sideshows have been announced for a select few of these heavy hitters - click through to see where you can catch 'em and when.

Foals and Bloc Party lead the first artist announcement for the Falls & Southbound festivals!

Now that Splendour in the Grass is over for another year, Australian festival goers can now look ahead to the next major run of festivals coming up over the New Year period and for 2015, the crew behind the Falls and Southbound festivals have delivered a pretty slick line up of artists set to bring in your New Year right. Leading the first artist announcement of the festival tour are Foals and Bloc Party, both British bands who have long enjoyed a successful relationship with fans in Australia.

Gary Clark Jr announces April tour dates!

Guitar virtuoso and Australian tour lover Gary Clark J has announced his return to Aussie shores next April! Only coming back for a short run, Gary Clark Jr will no doubt have the masses coming out for his infectious and ridiculously musical headline dates alongside his already announced Bluesfest appearance in Byron Bay. These tickets will sell quickly, so our advice is to jump on them - they're on sale now!

Bluesfest announces the reunion of Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, plus more on their second artist announcement!

Well, this is pretty large, as far as additional line up announcements go. Bluesfest has always been known for bringing the artist announcements strongly, but their second round of acts revealed for the 2015 festival has gone and confirmed that once again, Bluesfest is set to be one of the festivals you're going to want to be at. Leading the charge is the first global performance of the reunited Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, with their Bluesfest show being their only Australian gig for 2015.

Festival Review: Deni Blues & Roots Festival - Deniliquin, NSW (19 and 20th April 2014)

Lachlan Mitchell brings us this review from the two-day Deni Blues and Roots Festival!

--

Now I may be jumping ahead in the timeline of my experience at this year’s two day Deni Blues and Roots Festival, but out of 8,000 attendees the character we met and the conversation we had in the final hours of the festival encompassed the overall ethos of the event.

Festival Review: Byron Bluesfest (Day Five) - Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm (21.04.14)

The final day of the Byron Bluesfest was mainly about revisiting some favourites from the weekend, for me. I suppose you could question whether five days for a festival may be too long, when by the end of it, the line up consists of acts that have already played, but with the amount of new talent on offer in amongst the big names, I suppose this model ensures everyone gets a fair shot of gaining and growing a crowd.

Elvis Costello and the Imposters, the Dave Matthews Band and Gary Clark Jr help draw Bluesfest to a close!

Tonight, the 2014 Byron Bluesfest drew to a close, bringing five days and nights of world class music to an end with the final headline duties falling on the capable shoulders of the Dave Matthews Band, Gary Clark Jr and Elvis Costello and the Imposters on the main stages, while Watussi, Ray Beadle and Playing For Change ensured the party continued on the smaller stages too.

Deni Blues & Roots Festival kicked on over the Easter long weekend with 2 days of fantastic performances. Here are the shots of the second day with acts including Gary Clark Jr and The Doobie Brothers by our very own Ian Laidlaw:

Festival Review: Byron Bluesfest (Day Two) - Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm (18.04.14)

When faced with a festival that spans five days, it can be slightly daunting when it comes to planning your timetable for each day. Day two of Bluesfest coincides with Good Friday and arriving on site for my second round, there’s definitely a festive vibe in the air, albeit less chocolate.

The Doobie Brothers and Jack Johnson help close out Good Friday at the Byron Bluesfest!

The second day and night of the Byron Bay Bluesfest enjoyed stellar weather and more outstanding performances from artists who were making their 2014 debut or following on from great sets on Thursday.

Festival Review: West Coast Blues and Roots - Fremantle Park, WA (13.04.14)

Sunday saw the West Coast Blues and Roots Festival return to Fremantle for its 11th year. Though back to its now customary one day format and with a smaller line-up than in recent years, the festival still managed to draw a none-too-shabby 15,000 people through the gates.

Live Review: Dave Matthews Band + Gary Clark Jr - QANTAS Credit Union Arena (15.04.14)

Those who have read my article earlier in the week will already know that I'm a fan of the Dave Matthews Band. They're a band I've grown up with in many ways, and between 2005 and 2007 I had the opportunity to catch them three times between Australia and the USA. What followed was what some might call a drought of opportunity; a drought that ended tonight with the band's first performance in Sydney in seven years.
