Live Review: Future of The Left - The Factory Theatre, Sydney (03.01.14)

Future of The Left

There was a moment that came at the conclusion of the night midway into a medley of "Singing of the Bonesaws", "Lapsed Catholics" and "Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues", in which Jimmy Watkins ducked off stage, to quickly return with a roll of electrical tape and a bottle of Coopers. He prowled the stage looking for volunteers turning down several young men and a few older ones for being too large, until he selected his target. Taping the beer to the young and rather confused mans head he proceeded to pick him up like a child and tip him over the revellers in the front row to drink beer from his head.

Live Review: Future of The Left + The Nation Blue + Brat Farrar - The Corner Hotel (16.12.11)

Future of The Left

Arriving as Brat Farrar were finishing up the first of two sets they would play on the evening it was a little disappointing to see The Corner Hotel so bare. Regardless, the three boys took no notice and played with everything they had, obviously quite happy and humbled to be playing alongside a band of Future of The Left’s caliber.
