Editor's Picks: 5 Aussies not to miss at CMJ - Sosefina Fuamoli gives her Top 5 artists ahead of the NYC music marathon!

The CMJ Marathon is coming up in a matter of weeks now, with hundreds of bands from around the world converging on New York City for five days and nights of live music. A sheer show of diversity within industries around the globe, the CMJ Marathon has seen some now-major touring bands unearthed, while some new discoveries have also been made over the course of the event. The Australian contingent of artists headed to New York for CMJ is strong again for another year and below, I've listed just five of them who are going to be having eyes turned on them for sure.

The Festival Diaries: CMJ Day Three Ft Courtney Barnett, Real Estate, Tiny Ruins + More - New York City (17.10.13)

Staying up until 3am last night broke the record of staying up until 1am on the 16th October for me. The range of places that I went to varied insanely - too much probably. Going from living-room sized tiled rooms underneath restaurants to larger rooms that could fill hundreds of people was an experience and a half for a music lover like. But there was a downside, that being that my head was spinning, I'm getting a sore throat and I think I'm dying in one slow churning process because f it.

Experimental pop merchant, Eden Mulholland, is set to release his debut solo album Feed the Beast. Inspired by his compositions for theatre and dance, Feed the Beast is Mulholland's follow up to the EP "Jesus You Don't Get My Jokes."You may have heard of him from his previous work as a singer and writer with the band Motorcade. Renae Brown caught up with him to talk about the new album and touring with David Bridie.
