In 2006, Jesse Keeler and Sebastien Grainger called it quits on a band they "started out of boredom and necessity". That band was Death From Above 1979. In 2011, after five years of silence between them, they reunited for Coachella - and as we now know, this went pretty well. Parklife Festival - Kippax Lake, Moore Park (02.10.11)

Wow. The weather gods do NOT like Parklife. Is it just me or does it rain on the first Sunday of every October? Though we avoided a torrential downpour, the rain did little to stop the punters from jumping in the mud - and the extreme cold did little to stop the rest from taking off their shirts and wearing painfully short skirts. I guess you have to admire their conviction to adhere to whatever this festival mentality is... But I digress. Onto the music!

It was dancing in the rain as the Parklife circus rolled into Perth, featuring a lineup consisting of Gossip, The Streets, Kimbra, Duck Sauce, The Aston Shuffle, Death From Above 1979, Crystal Fighters and more. Stuart Sevastos brings us the photos from the day...

Parklife 2011 - Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne (24.09.11)

Parklife 2011 really was a thing of beauty. It came complete with perfect weather, a great line-up, good crowd and short drink queues. The organisers have found the perfect setting for the festival at Sidney Myer Music Bowl in the heart of Melbourne. In such lush surroundings it’s easy to forget that the CBD is only a quick stroll along the Yarra away. And so the scene was set for another cracking round of cutting edge electronic and indie vibes.
