
Last Friday saw the release of 'Go Go Chaos', the highly anticipated second album from Melbourne outfit BONJAH. To celebrate, BONJAH showcased an intimate launch at Revolt Theatre in Melbourne which was sold out in 48 hours.

Daniel Lee Kendall has created a beautiful, uplifting debut release. The melodies are intricate, yet simple, and they are weaved in with complex rhythms and beats – and so many other layers added on top. Lost in the Moment is definitely a winner.

Hungry Kids of Hungary have been travelling the country on their Final Escapades tour for the last month with The Chemist, Andy Bull and in capital cities Daniel Lee Kendall. They wrapped it all up last night in front of a home town in Brisbane.



One of the benefits of reviewing live music is discovering new acts. Another is opening your eyes to acts you’ve heard of but know little about. This sold out Hungry Kids of Hungary show at the Metro had a bit of both.
Daniel Lee Kendall is one of those really annoying talented people, who is not only a gifted songwriter, but a gifted songwriter with devilishly good looks and a naïve presence that is both disarming and beguiling.
Talk The Night Away is Kendall’s sophomore release and showcases more of the textured melodies and soothing vocals that had the nation swooning over 2010’s Lost In The Moment EP.

Daniel Lee Kendall has a very sweet, understated stage presence. The youngster from Bensville had the difficult task of warming the stage for a mammoth line-up of Australian talent, and he did well to win over the large crowd who had gathered early to stake their places at the front of the stage. Kendall’s vocals are very smooth and Jack Johnson-esque, and while his gentle tones were at times a bit too same-y and safe, his music is very pretty.

Daniel Lee Kendall never planned a career in music. The Central Coast singer/songwriter has just released his second EP, Talk the Night Away, but it all happened almost accidentally.
