Music Video of the Day: Dan Kelly "Never Stop The Rot" (2015)

Green screen is one of those things that when it’s bad, it’s really bad. When it’s deliberately bad, though? That’s when it’s great. Venturing between outback highways and the cosmos; seaside rocks and the Great Pyramids of Giza, Dan Kelly takes us on one hell of a journey for his catchy indie-rock track "Never Stop The Rot". It's the first track to be taken from his upcoming record Leisure Panic. Check it out here:

Live Review: Dan Kelly's Dream Band + Richard In Your Mind - Newtown Social Club, Sydney (26.09.14)

Tonight would be a night of some mystical and magical music, a chance to be immersed in the wild and occasionally wacky sounds that some of Australia’s indie pop folk have to offer. Tonight would be the launch for Dan Kelly’s new single "Melbourne VS Sydney" and coincidentally his main support Richard in Your Mind are Sydney locals, whilst he himself is based in Melbourne. Whether this was on purpose or coincidental either way, the audience was in for an interesting night.

Live Review: Gareth Liddiard + Dan Kelly - The Basement, Sydney (12.06.14)

It's been a long while since I've spent a night in The Basement, but what better way to return to the iconic Sydney venue than with two of the finest Australian musicians around. Kicking off the night was Dan Kelly, performing solo and acoustic; a perfect support for the night's headliner, The Drones' Gareth Liddiard.

Music Video: Dan Kelly "Gap Year Blues"

We're loving this track and this new video from Dan Kelly.

From the AMP and ARIA nominated album Dan Kelly's Dream comes the new single 'Gap Year Blues'. A retro futuristic ballad that ruminates on the futility of long distance love. Sweet pastoral tones build to a Faces-esque middle eight jam before a gorgeous fadeout.
