Coldplay add extra shows to meet demand on Australian tour

Perhaps unsurprisingly, when the general public ticket sales for Coldplay‘s Australian tour commenced yesterday, many fans were left put out by how quickly the initial ticketing allocation was exhausted. Due to the amount of public demand that followed, Live Nation has confirmed that in addition to the band’s original four stadium shows, an extra date at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne has been announced, as well as a second show at Allianz Stadium in Sydney.

Of course, it’s expected that Coldplay’s return to Australia would be one that brought with it high expectation and anticipation – aside that brief trip out to promo Ghost Stories and film the music video for “Sky Full of Stars”, they haven’t toured their full production since the Mylo Xyloto album cycle in 2012.

There are VIP packages on offer for this one – to find out more, head HERE.

Tickets for Coldplay’s second shows in Melbourne and Sydney are on sale from midday tomorrow, June 1st.
