Jack Daniel's Future Legends launching 'Local Live at FBi' in Sydney this week!

Local Live at FBi, the new series backed by Jack Daniel's Future Legends, launches in the Sydney tomorrow evening, with three excellent headline performances scheduled for their upcoming events! The intimate shows to be held at the station's new in-house live to air performance space will feature Tkay Maidza, Cloud Control and George Maple in some state of the art facilities. More events are still to be announced but as far as first announcements go, these sessions are a pretty sweet way to kick things off, no?

Cloud Control confirmed for the 2015 Urban Country Music Festival!

Proving that they are capable of catering to a variety of music fan, the organisers behind the 2015 Urban Country Music Festival today confirm Australian indie favourites Cloud Control as part of their line up this year! The band joins the likes of Lee Kernaghan, British India and Last Dinosaurs down in the Moreton Bay region for the May 1st-3rd festival on what's become quite a diverse festival bill.

Photo Gallery: Falls Festival Day Three - Lorne, Victoria (30.12.14)

The third day of the Falls Festival hits and everyone is on great spirits helped by an amazing line up of local and international acts. The Black Lips tore it up in the Grand Theatre while George Ezra had everyone singing along with hit song "Budapest". The closing acts of the main stage were more like production numbers; La Roux, Empire of the Sun and SBTRKT all putting on amazing shows. The Village was also a hive of late night cabaret and performances. Our photographer John Goodridge was there to capture the action.

Live Review: Falls Music & Arts Festival Day Four - North Byron Parklands (02.01.15)

The crowd was looking just a little tired and dusty as the fourth and final day at Falls kicked into gear. It was the coolest day thus far, breezy and cloud covered, but it was nonetheless still baking when Sydney’s Sticky Fingers wandered on to the Valley Stage.

By Day Three, everyone's hitting their stride; it's the first day of Falls where both the Grand Theatre and Valley Stage are in operation, more international visitors are in the joint and punters stand to bear witness to some more world class festival sets. The AU Awards may have come an gone earlier this month, we're excited to be ending the year by bringing you some footage from the intimate Sydney event, in case you couldn't make it yourself! SongHubs India Photo Gallery: Watch as Cloud Control, Peking Duk and more collaborate with Indian artists.

the AU Review's head photographer Johnny Au was invited to travel to Mumbai, India to capture the annual songwriting camp called SongHubs. SongHubs India is an initiative of APRA|AMCOS that teams up four Australian artists with local Indian musicians to come up with four songs of demo quality daily. This year we saw Cloud Control, Money For Rope, Peking Duk and Appleonia make the trip.

As part of the Sydney Festival next year, triple j are choosing to throw a huge ass birthday party in the Domain! The Beat the Drum event is already hosting the likes of Hilltop Hoods, The Presets and The Cat Empire, but today on the Matt and Alex show, a huge second artist announcement was revealed for the January 16th party!

Touring around India with a great crop of Australian artists and Sounds Australia, Cloud Control were able to become exposed to the music in this colourful area of the world, as well as embrace what the musicians over there also had to offer.

Photo Gallery: The Aussie BBQ - Blue FROG, Mumbai (04.11.14)

Our head photographer Johnny Au has been travelling around India with four Australian artists Appleonia, Cloud Control, Money For Rope and Peking Duk. They made a stop at Mumbai to play The Aussie BBQ showcase at the packed Blue FROG venue as part of the Music Connects conference. All four artists played exceptionally well and the mostly local Blue FROG audience were keen to discover Australian music acts to follow.
