Music Video of the Day: Fascinator "Dead of the Night" (2015)

What ever happened to Children Collide? Their fade away from making music is a lot easier to deal with due to Fascinator, the project from frontman Johnny Mackay. Know for taking psych and synth pop influences and putting them to some of the strangest visuals you’ll ever see, the new track from Fascinator is on form with his previous work, but with a slightly more pop-oriented production and arrangement. Check out the video for "Dead of the Night" here:

It will instead be remembered as the New Years Eve that someone threw a basketball at Dominic Simper of Tame Impala’s face. But let’s go back to the beginning, a time of sobriety and a lot less violence.

Live Review: Children Collide + Dune Rats + Bad//Dreems - Fowler's Live, Adelaide (08.08.12)

The last time I saw Children Collide perform in Adelaide, I left before the gig ended because it got way too rowdy and I couldn’t be arsed having to watch my back constantly, quite frankly. The music was great, however, and so here I am again, having fought off the rain and a serious case of mid-week laziness, waiting patiently inside Fowler’s Live for the now-duo to perform.
