Sydney's Cameras announce November east coast tour

Just announced to play Peats Ridge festival over this New Year’s Eve, Sydney’s Cameras have announced they will head out on an east-coast tour this November. Currently winning fans in the USA playing at LA’s Culture Collide and the CMJ showcase in New York, their Australian tour will be in support of their debut album In Your Room, which is out this October 28 through Inertia.

Part of The Sydney Fringe, the Captured project came to an end on Sunday night, with a massive crowd filling up the Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar for a free show featuring Cameras and Chicks Who Love Guns.

The winners were announced, and it was Bon Chat, Bon Rat who took the public vote - while Stefan Hunt and Campbell Brown (of Good Cheer)'s short film about Chicks Who Love Guns took the judges vote.

Cameras + Nantes + The Bungalows + Tim Fitz - FBi Social (06.08.11)

The night was opened by FBi’s newest wunderkind Tim Fitz, with his eclectic mix of synths, beats and loop machines. The 22-year-old Sydney local jumped genres like skipping stones; he dabbled in jazz piano, loose blues guitar riffs, introspective folk and experimental noise. The half-an-hour set even included a stylish one man cover of Radiohead’s “15 Steps.”
