BUCKLEY WARD

Album Review: Buckley Ward - So Pretend (2012 LP)

Buckley Ward - So Pretend LP

Melbourne five-piece Buckley Ward’s second album So Pretend is the sound of bittersweet; 70% sugar, 30% sadness. They create gorgeous, sun-kissed indie-pop with the power to make you rethink your entire life, right up until the moment you pressed play. In the world of So Pretend, there’s no past, no future and endless possibility. Buckley Ward take a series of assured decisions with this release, evolving to include the incorporation of exciting influences and instrumentation to their previous folk sound.
