Live Review: Rodriguez + Archie Roach + Little May + Fox Cat Rabbit - King's Park, Perth (06.11.14)

Thursday night saw the legendary singer-songwriter Rodriguez play the first of three sold-out shows in Perth’s picturesque Kings Park, and his first show in Perth since 1981. Joining Rodriguez on the bill was a host of Australian talent, including Archie Roach, Little May and Perth’s own Fox Cat Rabbit.

Woodford Folk Festival returns for its 29th year this December with a vibrant and ambitious programme. They have just released their program and this year, the festival will feature more than 400 acts in 35 performance venues over six days and nights.

Sidney Myer Music Bowl to celebrate the anniversary of the Apology to the Stolen Generations with a concert in February.

In what is set to be a special night of recognition, reflection and music, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne will be celebrating the anniversary of the Apology to the country's Stolen Generation on February 13th. Bringing together both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australian performers, there will be a concert which aims to promote an atmosphere of shared unity - and to spread the message.

The National Folk Festival announce Indigenous line up.

The National Folk Festival’s Indigenous line-up has made its way into our eager hands. The festival will take place on the Easter Weekend, 17th – 21st April at over 12 venues in Exhibition Park, Canberra.

The 2013 National Indigenous Music Awards were held in Darwin over the weekend and saw some of the country's best talent take out the coveted awards for another year. Over 2000 people came together in Darwin for the event, where Indigenous music and culture was celebrated, with live performances and a special tribute to Yothu Yindi remained highlights of the evening.
