Food & Lifestyle News: J&B Whisky launch new Mash Up range.

J&B has been operating since 1831 – although the business dates back to the founding of a company called Johnson & Justerini, in London in 1749. With so much history behind them, it’s unsurprising that their famed blended scotch whisky is the second best selling in the world, behind Johnnie Walker. Looking forward rather than back, however, the company is now introducing two new drinks into the market, following on the successful run of pre-mixed drinks in Australia.

The new J&B Mash-Up canned range is based on J&B Scotch whisky and comes in two variants: J&B Mash-Up Ginger Ale and Lemonade and J&B Mash-Up Sparkling Apple. Each will retail for $19.99 per four-pack.

According to Dan Murphys, the drinks have been designed to “create something fun, disruptive and unexpected. Smooth and refreshing with a precise ginger kick on the finish, J&B Mash-Up comes brilliantly packaged in these striking bold designs inspired by the spontaneous party personality of the range.”

We’ll be tasting the Sparkling Apple later this week and will be sure to give you our verdict there. Also, rumour has it there’ll be a launch of a new mash-up track featuring a popular electronic artist next week, to help promote this new range. In the meantime, check out this clip which promotes the Ginger Ale and Lemonade range:
