What music or artists inspired you?
Fela Kuti, The Budos Band, The Black Angels, The Stooges, Rocket Science, Mulatu Astatke and of course Miles Davis’ Bitches Brew Album!!!

How did the band get started?
Three of us played together for years as the house band at a little New Farm bar called Gerties. Last summer over a few beers we thought, “Why not get 3 horns and an organ player and go record?” So we did. Next thing you know we’re playing a stack of shows, releasing vinyl and signing a management deal! Awesome sauce.

How would you best describe your live show:
Sweaty ass-shakin’ goodness.

What shows do you have coming up?
We’re releasing our debut single on August 22 at The Bearded Lady in West End and have a bunch of dates lined up for later in the year.
Keep an eye on Facebook for more dates.

Tell us about your latest release:
It’s a single! ‘Valley Heat’, recorded on a 38 degree summer day in The Valley.

Where can I get your music?
You’ll have to wait until August before you can buy the 7 inch vinyl or cassette. In the meantime shoot us a Facebook message and we’ll save you one or check out our Pledge campaign.
